– received an honors  Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Bologna in 1981, completing specialist training at the Misch Implant Institute in Detroit, in the United States in1992.

– a member of many leading dental and implantology associations, including The Academy of Osseointegration, of which he is an active member, and the International College of Oral Implantology, where he is a board member.

– adjunct professor for the Postgraduate Program in Clinical Implantology and Biomaterials at the University of Chieti, and a professor for the Master’s in Oral Surgery and Clinical Implantology at the University of Bologna.

– a frequent speaker at international congresses, published over 100 articles in leading Italian and international journals. Practices dentistry in his clinics in Bologna and Forlì: chiefly focusing on surgery and implant-supported prostheses.

– internationally recognized for his reconstructive surgery and implantology research; in the 1990’s one of the first to focus research on bone grafting; later to research and develop new techniques for the immediate loading of implants, as well as alternative procedures for patients with severe bone loss.

– for many years  has encouraged the use of more efficient implantology techniques, including  theory/practice courses at the Degidi Clinic.

– founder of the iLoad Study Club research group – a meeting place for implant specialists, in particular for those interested in immediate loading. An important educational initiative of this forum is conversation with experts, which offer dentists an invaluable opportunity to deepen their knowledge of specific implantology topics of importance.
